Privacy policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This privacy policy explains what information ScholarshipPortal.pk (“we”, “us”) collects when you use https://scholarshipportal.pk, how we use it, and the choices you have. The site is run by Mudasir Iqbal, Pakistan. Contact: ask2mudasar@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Email alerts. If you sign up for alerts, we store your email address, the scholarship you chose (if any), the date you signed up and confirmed, and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used only to stop spam. We send a confirmation email first and nothing else until you confirm. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 14 days. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Reports. If you use Report a problem, we store your message, the page address and, if you give it, your email address, plus a hashed IP address for spam limits.
  • Scam check. Text you paste into the scam check is not stored unless you tick the consent box; if you do, CNIC and passport numbers are removed before it is saved.
  • Emails to us. If you email us, we keep the message so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

  • Saved scholarships are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
  • Cookies. See the cookies and advertising sections below.

How we use information

  • To send the alerts you asked for and to reply to your messages and reports.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To show advertising that keeps the site free (see below).

We do not sell your personal information. We never ask for CNIC copies, passport copies or bank details.

These tools may set cookies and collect information such as your approximate location, device and pages viewed. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
