These are the rules our editors follow for every listing and guide on ScholarshipPortal.pk.
What we list
- Scholarships, fee waivers, interest-free loans and funded programs that Pakistani students can apply for, in Pakistan or abroad.
- Only programs we can confirm on an official source. See How we verify for what counts as an official source.
- Closed programs stay listed with their next expected opening, so students can prepare in time.
How we write
- We inform, we never promise. We say “you may be eligible” and “check this condition”, never “you will get” or “guaranteed”.
- We show the facts that matter to Pakistani applicants first: the deadline in Pakistan time, who can apply from Pakistan, what it pays, fees and any obligation to return or serve.
- We link only to the official website for applying, never to a shortened or third-party link.
Independence
- We are not affiliated with HEC, any government body, university or provider.
- Payment never decides whether or how a program is listed. Sponsored placements, if any, are labelled “Sponsored” and verified the same way as every other listing.
- We do not list or promote education agents, consultants or paid application services.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it and record it on our corrections page. Updates announced by a provider, such as a new deadline, are normal updates, not corrections.
Scam warnings
Our scam alerts describe patterns, such as fake letters asking for a processing fee. We name a person, page or organisation only when an official source has done so, such as a government agency, the provider itself, an embassy or a court. Anyone named can ask us to review a warning by writing to ask2mudasar@gmail.com.
Guides
Guides are written by an editor and fact-checked by a second editor, and show when they were last updated.
